Chapter 424: Incidents of Black Magic Items Injuring People (1)

On a weekend in late October, Sainz was enjoying tea in his office on such a gloomy afternoon.

"Sainz, come quickly!" Ben Meng suddenly entered the office, "Something happened!"

"What's the matter?" Sainz jumped up suddenly. He was not such a rash person. If it was not an emergency, he would not just break in through the door, even if they were friends.

"A student has been cursed!" Ben said anxiously. "I was at the door checking everyone coming back from Hogsmeade. Just now, Hagrid hurried back carrying a girl."

Sainz hurriedly walked out with him, "Have you notified the principal?"

"Yes, Professor Snape," said Professor McGonagall, a little annoyed. "We shouldn't forget him, Mr. Stebbins. Please go find Professor Snape and ask him to come over as soon as possible."

"Okay!" Ben agreed quickly and walked out the door quickly.

Sainz took the girl's hand and pulled open the sleeve at her wrist. There was a black spot the size of a green bean on the inside of her wrist.

"This is where she was exposed to the curse," said Madam Pomfrey. "Luckily it was only a little bit. If it wasn't for the cold weather and gloves she had to wear, she would have been exposed by now."

Sainz drew out his applewood wand and cast a powerful dispel spell, adding another layer of insurance on top of Pomfrey's treatment.

"I don't know its specific name, and there is no corresponding spell to break it. I can only suppress it temporarily. If I want to remove it, it will probably take two weeks. I can also use a powerful ending spell to forcibly interrupt it, but in that case, her body will be damaged. I don't recommend doing that."

Madam Pomfrey agreed with Sainz, "Professor Autumn is right."

As Professor McGonagall explained, Snape moved closer to the gold object and examined it carefully.

"Any findings, Severus?" asked Professor McGonagall.

"Well," said Professor McGonagall, "let's call St. Mungo's to come and move her away, and get this thing into the box; they may need it."
