Chapter 418: Kill Two Birds with One (1)
After meeting Hagrid, Sainz called Speed and asked him to deliver a letter, inviting him to come to Hogsmeade for a gathering at the weekend.
At nine o'clock on Saturday morning, Ben emerged from the fireplace.
"Hey, long time no see, brother, how are you?" Sainz pulled him up enthusiastically, "Sister-in-law, prepare some refreshments."
Ben brushed off some dust on himself, "Hey, Sainz, why are you alone?"
“It’s just me.”
"I thought you called everyone," Ben pulled over his own sofa naturally, "Ah, it's more comfortable for you to stay here. Don't you know, brother, when you are an adult and still live with your parents... don't mention it... especially if they want to give you another brother or sister..."
Sainz didn't say anything, but patted his shoulder in understanding. "You know, I always have your room here. If you want to spare some personal time for your parents, you are always welcome to come and add some popularity to me."
"Really?"
"Am I a person who is used to joking?"
Ben got serious, "Brother, if you're serious, I'm serious!"
"Is that true?" Sainz emphasized again, "You know, brother, I am not a joker. What I say must count."
"That's great!" Ben danced with joy, "Oh... come and give me a hug!"
"roll!"
"Okay, haha... seriously, you called me over alone... eh? Eh! Let me make it clear first, I have a girlfriend!"
"I think you are itching for trouble. You don't know where to go after graduation!"
"Okay, oops, I was wrong, I was wrong, I apologize, really, please change me back quickly, if the dean sees me, he might really put garbage in my mouth... Oh... Thank God... Your magic is amazing again, brother!"
Ben checked himself to see if there was any remnant of the image of a trash can, and said with lingering fear: "If Professor McGonagall knew that you turned your friend into a talking trash can, I don't know if she would be happy or would deduct points from you!"
"What a shame!" Sainz raised his eyebrows, "She no longer has the right to deduct points from me!"
Ben pretended to be sad and said, "Well, everyone, come and have a look. This is the top student in the grade. This is the top student in the eyes of the teacher. This is the professor of Hogwarts!"
"It seems like you've been suffocated at home for the past few months! You weren't this lively before."
"Oh... never mind... thank you for taking me in," Ben said, a little confused. "To be honest, you must have something wrong to ask me here alone. I know you."
"It's not a big deal..."
"Mr. Stebbins," the fourth sister-in-law came in with a tray, "your honey grapefruit tea, there is honey in this small cup, if you think it is not sweet enough, you can add some more or call me to serve you."
Ben took it politely and said, "Thank you, Sister-in-law. You've worked hard."
"You are too polite... Master, this is your Tieguanyin. I did not wash the tea leaves as you requested."
"OK, thanks!"
There are many bloggers who sell tea or teach tea art online. They often have a tea-washing procedure in the tea-brewing process, claiming that the first brew needs to be poured out because the tea flavor is too strong.
It cannot be said to be completely wrong. After washing the tea once, the aroma of the tea brewed the second time will indeed be clearer and more distant. However, this does not mean that washing the tea is some wonderful secret to brewing tea.
The reason why most tea leaves need to go through a tea washing process is precisely because the quality control of tea leaves is not strict. It is simply because the tea leaves are not "clean" before entering the market for sale.
The reason for washing is simply because it is not clean enough, that's all.
Tea that has been quality controlled does not need to be washed!
Of course, some people think that the first soup tastes too strong and unpalatable, so they habitually pour it out. That is just a personal habit of tea drinkers, but it is not a necessary part of tea tasting.
As the saying goes, it is difficult to satisfy everyone. Tastes vary from person to person and cannot be generalized. Some people just like the strong and pungent taste.
Similar to cigarettes and alcohol, some people like mild ones, while others like strong ones, and the same goes for tea.
After serving tea, the fourth sister-in-law brought two plates of pies, one salty and one sweet, cut into the size of sugar cubes.
"Tell me," Ben picked up a piece of pineapple filling and put it in his mouth, "Is there anything you need my help with? Except for borrowing money, everything else is easy to talk about."
"No big deal, I just wanted to ask how your work is going?"
Ben scratched the back of his head and said weakly, "How is it? Just like that, free time."
"Is it leisure or boredom?"
Ben is not stupid, "Why, brother, do you want to explain the work to me?"
Sainz did not deny it. "I have such an idea, but it depends on your personal wishes. If you are comfortable in the department, there is no need to change."
“Honestly, man,” Ben said after a moment’s reflection, “maybe I haven’t been gone long enough for me to get bored.
It's just that I have to get up early every day. It's so uncomfortable. You don't know, it's not just me. Every morning when I go to the lobby on the eighth floor, everyone looks like a corpse, especially on Monday mornings!"
The Alien Liaison Office where Ben joined was indeed a relatively quiet department. There were even some offices that would not receive a single case throughout the entire year because the aliens were more inclined to solve their own problems rather than seek help from the Ministry of Magic.
They are only likely to be used when there is a dispute between aliens and wizards.
I'm adapting pretty well to my life in the Ministry of Magic. Is it really necessary to make all the fuss?
Seeing Sainz was a little hesitant, Ben said, "Brother, how come these people, you have the best brain to use. I believe you must have your considerations when introducing me to a job. You might as well help me analyze it."
"Okay," since Ben wanted to listen, Sainz decided to speak out and let him make the decision. "Brother, I don't know if there are any other candidates for this job. I just want to ask about your intentions first."
"Then I should listen to your opinion."
"Well, actually, what you know is Filch's job. It's up to you whether you want to apply for it or not."
"Administrator?!" Ben said in surprise, "Brother, why did you think of me?"
Sainz reached out his hand to comfort him and said, "Brother, don't be prejudiced against this position because of Filch."
"I'm not... I'm just a little surprised." Ben put down the teacup in his hand, "It's just that this position gives me a feeling of being a little... a little..."
"It feels like an old man did it?"
"Yes, yes, yes!" Ben nodded repeatedly. "Isn't it a bit too early for me to do this now? But... I want to hear your opinion, brother."
