Hogwarts and the Atypical Wizard

Chapter 290 Warrior Selection

Chapter 290 Warrior Selection

Later Sainz showed them how to use the pedestal.

The base can be in any shape, and it can be made into various lamp shapes in the Muggle world.

Sainz smeared the glow powder on the round head of the base, "There is a switch here. After turning it on, the little wizard who can't control his magic can use the glow powder."

After the switch was turned on, it was like a strangely shaped electric light was turned on, and the round head coated with luminous powder lit up like an incandescent lamp.

"There is also a brightness adjustment scale here, which can be adjusted according to the needs of the user."

Ben tried to operate it a few times, "Yeah, it's very convenient."

Sainz said: "The only inconvenience is that it is charged, and the young wizard cannot control his own magic power, so if this base wants to be used, an adult wizard needs to recharge it with magic power in advance."

"How long does it take to replenish the magic power?" Alia asked.

"That amount of magic power isn't actually that much. It's only used as a trigger each time, so the consumption is very small. One replenishment can trigger about 800 to 1,000 times, and turning it on and off counts as two times."

“That will last a long time!”

Everyone calculated in their minds, assuming it can be used 800 times, and turning it on and off twice, that means it can be turned on and off 400 times. Who can turn the light on and off more than ten times a day? If you calculate it, it can be used for a long time.

Replenishing magic power is also very convenient, and any wizard who can control his own magic power can do it easily.

After chatting and laughing, it was almost lunch time. The fourth sister-in-law prepared a sumptuous meal and they ate with great smiles. Sainz took the opportunity to tell them that he was planning to open a pastry shop in the future and if anyone was interested in this, they were welcome to help.

After revealing his future business plans to his friends, Sainz achieved the purpose of inviting them here today. Just as they said, they are still two years away from graduation, and who can predict what the future will be like.

He is just trying his best to lend a helping hand within a limited scope. As for whether his friends are interested in participating, it is everyone's freedom.

Sainz himself has no worries about life, and there are some things he can choose not to do, but as friends, he cannot turn a blind eye to other people's difficulties. He proposed a "safety net" plan, but also respected everyone's choice and was not prepared to give charity in the name of "for your own good."

They can come if they are interested, and it doesn’t matter if they are not interested. At the end of the day, he feels that he deserves the title of “friend”.

After dinner, they strolled back to school. Sainz returned to the office, and the other three returned to the dormitory.

At three or four o'clock, it started to drizzle. It was a special feeling to lean back on the comfortable soft fabric sofa, listen to the sound of raindrops gently hitting the glass windows, and brew a cup of fragrant tea.

It was after half past five and it was getting dark. Sainz went downstairs to the auditorium.

When I walked to the side door connecting the foyer and the auditorium, I happened to see Hagrid and Ms. Maxime coming in from the main door of the auditorium, followed by students from Beauxbatons.

Hagrid was wearing a furry brown suit today, and a brown and yellow plaid tie. His hair must have been tried to be combed, and I don't know what kind of oil was applied to it, probably some secret animal fat of his.

Something was clearly wrong with him, he followed Ms. Maxime in an almost fawning manner, spoke like a servant, and had misty eyes that seemed about to shed tears, he had a similar expression when he looked at the newborn dragon.

Following behind the Beauxbatons students was Harry's group of three, all of whom looked angry, most likely having been abandoned by Hagrid halfway.

Hermione saw his happy expression and her eyes lit up. She seemed to want to come over and say something, but was stopped by Harry and Ron beside her.

Sainz gave them a slight nod, walked towards the faculty table and sat in his chair.

Looking down from above, he noticed the twins chatting with Angelina and Alicia at the Gryffindor table. Their beards had been removed, and Harry and his trio went over to sit next to them.

"I really hope it's Angelina!" said Fred hopefully.

"Me too!" Hermione was equally expectant, "Ah, I'm almost out of breath, we'll find out soon enough!"

At the Hufflepuff table, Adam and Ben were talking with their heads against each other, and he seemed to have accepted the fact that he could not be a warrior.

After everyone was in place, the Christmas Eve dinner began. Perhaps because there were banquets for two consecutive days, or perhaps because the students were anxious to know the results of the warrior selection, everyone ate very quickly, and from time to time someone would look up anxiously.

"Well, everyone has almost finished eating," Dumbledore said with a smile, "I see many of you can't wait, so let's invite today's protagonist." He waved his hand and cleared away all the food and drinks.

The Goblet of Fire had been moved to the faculty table long before the banquet began and was placed in front of Dumbledore, otherwise no one would have been so inattentive during the meal.

"I reckon the time is nearly here," said Dumbledore. "The Goblet will soon be chosen, and once the Champion's name has been announced he will need to come here, around the staff table, and into the room where they will receive their initial instructions." He pointed to a door behind the staff table.

He took out his wand and waved it, extinguishing all the lights except the pumpkin lanterns. The hall immediately fell into a dim state of varying brightness, making the light in the Goblet of Fire particularly dazzling.

The twenty-four hours were about to end, and many people looked down at their watches anxiously.

Everyone held their breath. The auditorium was as quiet as if no one was there. The sound of the burning and crackling candles in the pumpkin lanterns could be clearly heard.

Suddenly, the flame in the Goblet of Fire turned from blue to red, and sparks burst out with crackling sounds!

A tongue of fire shot up into the air, and out of it came a half-burned parchment - the first warrior was born!

Dumbledore reached out and took the small piece of paper, held it up to the light of the Goblet of Fire, and read the words on it. Then he held the parchment high in his hand and said in a clear and powerful voice: "The champion of Durmstrang is Viktor Krum!"

There was warm applause and cheers in the auditorium, and Karkaroff shouted, "Great! Viktor! I knew you were destined to be a warrior!"

Krum walked out from the crowd, he was not very excited, even a little listless, and entered the room behind the faculty table as instructed before.

After a while, the flame of the Goblet of Fire began to turn red again, and all the people who were still celebrating suddenly quieted down, with all their attention focused on the cup in front of Dumbledore.

After a few seconds, the bright red flame jumped up again, and another short piece of paper came out from it.

Dumbledore announced in a loud and resonant voice, "The champion of Beauxbatons is Fleur Delacour!"

Only then did Sean know that the foreign student's surname was Delacour. When he watched movies and TV shows before, he only remembered her name as Fleur, but did not remember her surname.

Delacour stood up gracefully, shook her silver hair lightly, and walked towards the faculty table.
