Chapter 32 The Kuimen Plan
Chapter 32 The Kuimen Plan
The accompanying picture is a close-up of Su An's handsome face, with his wispy black hair fluttering in the wind and his blue eyes as calm as the reflected sky.
A whole bunch of girls are swooning over him!
"So handsome!"
"I need all of this man's contact information in three minutes!"
"His strength single-handedly overwhelms everyone, and his looks are as handsome as a celestial being. What could possibly be missing from his life?!"
"Even I, a woman, envy his eyes! They're so beautiful!"
"I...I'm falling for him."
The discussion forum continued to refresh rapidly, with comments constantly moving up the leaderboard.
"Blue eyes? Aren't all mixed-race people golden-eyed?"
"Perhaps he has no dragon bloodline, so he is not afraid of Chu Zihang's golden eyes."
"He might suffer in 3E tomorrow. I don't think he's very capable. Maybe the principal misjudged his level."
"Hey! How about we open a betting market? Anyone bet on Su An failing the 3E exam tomorrow?"
Fingel's message, marked with the administrator badge, caused a stir. This perpetually ungraduating, good-for-nothing senior was a popular figure on the Kassel College website, in charge of the news channel, and always managed to generate some trending news.
"I think there's little chance he'll pass, so I'll start a good trend. I'll bet 100 yuan and bet he'll pass!" Fingel started the voting section.
"Finger, are you planning to gamble your chance to pay off your credit card debt on your roommate?" someone mocked.
The bets on the "no" side skyrocketed, quickly surpassing $20,000, while the "yes" side still only had Finger's $100. In just one night, Su An's background information was all dug up: a good student who had done a good deed, an unknown student at Shilan Middle School, whose hobby was money, and who was discovered by Angers who happened to be passing by and entered the academy.
"Doesn't anyone have a bit of a gambling spirit?" Fingel complained in the comments. "You guys can't play like this. You can only win my 100 yuan. The odds for Su An to pass the exam are 1 to 130 right now!"
"I bet 500 yuan that Su An will pass the exam," commented a user with the ID "Cunyu".
The discussion forum fell silent for a moment. That was Chu Zihang's ID; this freshman was also a killer, and he had actually appeared in the discussion forum. This dark horse freshman, known as "Super A," didn't like rambling discussions. But he actually made an exception and gambled, betting 500 yuan that Su An could pass the exam.
"I bet 5000 yuan," commented a user with the ID "Diketuoduo".
"I bet 1000 yuan." commented a user with the ID "Rainy Night with a Knife but No Umbrella".
"So many people are betting on you to win?"
Fingel stared at Su An in shock.
Su An ignored him and asked with a burning gaze:
"How much did the people who bet on me losing wager in total?"
"Several hundred thousand dollars, I really don't understand why they have so little confidence in you, even though you've taken down so many people with your own strength."
Su An analyzed it simply through Fingel's back-end betting odds: "Because they are greedy, they have the mentality of taking a chance, and it's also a test."
After a long silence, Su An registered an account on the Night Watchers discussion forum.
Fingel had a bad feeling. He swallowed hard and asked, "What...what are you going to do?"
"Only big meat can attract big fish; I want to be a master of baiting."
Su An took out a bank card, its black sheen shimmering slightly.
"Do we really have to go this far...?" Fingel looked at Su An as if he were seeing his roommate in a new light, seeing him as a wolf from Wall Street.

Sunlight streamed obliquely through the porthole, and the person sitting in the shade scrolled through a forum on their computer, leaning back in their chair and letting out a silent sigh. Looking out the porthole, they saw a stretch of river, and the boat was passing between two mountains.
"Both Caesar and Chu Zihang lost to Su An? Su An is truly a monster." The middle-aged man across the table frowned. "The maintenance costs for 'Freedom for a Day' are increasing year by year. Perhaps we should take some measures to control it. These genius students like a dissolute lifestyle, but they should be strictly disciplined soldiers."
"I deliberately gave them space. Ten years ago, Kassel College was a mysterious military fortress. But, Mans, do you remember that defeat ten years ago?"
The middle-aged man nodded, picked up the black tea on the table, took a sip, and said, "No one will forget."
"A well-trained army, utterly wiped out. I have to rethink our educational approach. Perhaps in the war against the dragons, what we need isn't an army, but geniuses." The principal switched to English, "Somebody."
"Somebody?"
"The one! A unique genius, a leader, a dragon slayer feared even by dragon kings—one is enough! Just like my friend Menek Cassel!" the principal whispered. "Nurturing geniuses requires a free environment."
"Perhaps. Caesar and Chu Zihang are both unprecedented geniuses, but Su An, what exactly is his situation? You rated him S-rank, but I've always felt his bloodline is strange." The middle-aged man frowned. "Is it possible that he..."
"Could it be the Dragon King?" the principal asked with a smile.
"Your guess is the same as mine," the middle-aged man frowned even more. "The power of unknown origin, the strange blue eyes, I think the Dragon King's suspicions are not without reason."
"No," Angers shook his head and said, "Don't be too surprised to hear this. I don't know Suan very well either, but I'm 100% sure he's not the Dragon King."
Why?
"When you see the look in his eyes when he mentions the Dragon King, you'll understand that he's the person in this world who most wants to kill the Dragon King." Angers' eyes held a hint of reminiscence: "The hatred and murderous intent in those blue eyes are exactly the same as mine back then."
"Are you serious about having a monster keep Caesar and Chu Zihang in check?"
The principal scratched his gray hair. "There's an old Chinese saying, 'When you see someone virtuous, think of emulating them.' It means that when you see someone talented and virtuous, you should think of being on par with them. When a dragon-slaying genius takes the lead, Caesar and Chu Zihang should strive to keep up."
"I think this is like raising a venomous insect, and Caesar and Chu Zihang are just the victims."
Let time tell what the answer to our debate will be.
Angers got up and looked out the porthole. It was the high water season, and white wildflowers were blooming on the dark green grass of the islands in the river on both sides.
"We are passing over the Qutang Gorge. Before the Three Gorges Dam was built, the mountains on both sides of this place looked like the pillars of a gate."
The principal said softly, "The ancient Chinese spoke of 'Kuilong,' which refers to a kind of one-legged ancient dragon. Does 'Kuimen' mean that they once saw a dragon swimming in the river here? When will the 'Kuimen' project begin?"
"A week from now," the middle-aged man said. "Ye Sheng and Ya Ji are both ready. They are the best men under my command. With the modified Moniach, I am confident."
"If our suspicions are correct, do not awaken it. The King of Bronze and Fire, the noble First Generation, no one can fathom his power," the headmaster said. "Return safely."
Kid, I hope you can enjoy the braised pork knuckle in the cafeteria while you're not around.
The principal looked at Su An's photo and thought to himself.
