Chapter 104 Compound Decoctions
Potions professor's office.
Snape, who was not currently teaching, picked up the communicator that was lying to the side and found that Ryan had sent him a message.
"A compound decoction?"
Thinking of Dumbledore's meticulously planned scheme, Snape put down the communicator and took out several large bottles of Compound Potions from his medicine cabinet. These Compound Potions were clearly well-made products, as even the outer packaging was made of long-necked, narrow-mouthed crystal bottles worth three siecos.
Such packaging was quite unusual for Snape, as he considered ordinary potions insignificant and not worth packaging.
"The Merlin Medal award ceremony—hopefully the people Ryan hired won't cause too much trouble." He cast a spell on the crystal bottle.
The crystal bottle, as if possessing its own consciousness, could automatically find its way to the Adventurers' Club and proceed there on its own.
After doing all this, Snape couldn't calm down for a long time because Hogwarts was going to hold a major group event at the same time as the Merlin Medal award ceremony.
In this group activity, Severus Snape would sort out all the emotions he had accumulated over the years, seeking revenge for those he had wronged and complaining about those he had grievances about.
The thought of punching and stomping Voldemort filled him with excitement, so he took out some potions and gulped down two mouthfuls of tranquilizer.
"No, I need to go see Dumbledore again and ask him about his plans."
After pacing back and forth several times, he put down the potion bottle in his hand and strode towards the principal's office on the eighth floor, his wide cloak transforming into a cape behind him.
As all young wizards first imagine, it's like a bat's wing.
But this time was different from the past. As sunlight streamed into the castle, nocturnal bats danced in the sunlight.
Adventurers' Club.
Ryan heard a knock on the door and said, "Come in, the door is unlocked."
But after I finished speaking, no one came in for a long time.
But the knocking continued.
"What kind of horror movie scene is this? Is Hogwarts haunted?" He got up and wanted to go to the door to see what was going on.
How could a prestigious school of magic like Hogwarts be haunted? Ryan figured it was just a prank. Even if it were truly haunted, he wasn't afraid. There were plenty of ghosts on campus, and plenty of spells that could work on them.
Unless there's a Voldemort at the door, this show is just a comedy, not a horror film.
Even after I got to the door, the knocking was still pleasant.
Despite using the Extrasensory Charm, Ryan did not notice any breathing outside the door.
There was only the crisp sound of knocking on the door.
"Could there really be a ghost? Is Pee-Pee getting bolder now, no longer hiding from me?" He curiously opened the door, expecting to see a cocky little devil.
But I didn't see anything.
Suddenly, he felt something float overhead. He looked up sharply and saw three ornately packaged crystal bottles wobbling as they flew into the Adventurers' Club.
Then it landed steadily on the club's table, with a note still attached to the mouth of one of the crystal bottles.
The note read: Compound decoction, each bottle is enough for one person for three days.
So just now, these crystal bottles were knocking on the door of the Adventurers' Club.
It seems the person who delivered these potions cast a pathfinding spell, but was blocked by the gate, so they could only keep banging on it.
Judging from the handwriting, it was Professor Snape's handwriting. So it was Snape who was causing trouble. Lane thought that if Professor Snape left Hogwarts now, he would definitely be a great director of horror movies, especially the special effects. He could handle all of that himself.
If Professor Snape were willing to make a cameo appearance in one of his own horror films, it would surely be a critical and commercial success, and would make people scream.
"Next up are Professor Flitwick's and Headmaster Dumbledore's hair." Thinking of this, Ryan messaged the two targets, asking when they would have time to pick up his hair.
Why didn't he think of it when he left? He felt very regretful after sending the message. He didn't mention it in the principal's office. Maybe it was because he was a little overwhelmed by the top-level alchemical artifact, which made his thinking less meticulous for a moment.
"The door wasn't closed, so I'll come in."
Just then, footsteps were heard at the door, and two people walked in.
It was Pablo and Penelope of Ravenclaw.
"What do you need us to call separately for?" Pablo asked.
"Shouldn't you be preparing your acceptance speech by now?" Penelope said as she walked in, then noticed several crystal bottles on the table and asked, "What kind of potion is this?"
"A compound decoction," Ryan said.
"A compound decoction?" Penelope and Pablo asked in unison, sounding puzzled.
Before Ryan could explain further, Vio's voice came from the doorway again. He seemed to have just finished class and rushed over, but his voice also held a hint of doubt: "Compound decoction—?"
"Since you're all here, let's sit down and talk," Ryan said, gesturing for the three of them to sit down.
Three bewildered people pulled out chairs and sat down, each with a bottle of compound decoction in front of them.
"This is a long story, so I'll keep it short and tell you what you need to do."
Ryan said, "You will each take my place at the Merlin Medal award ceremony, representing Principal Professor Flitwick and me respectively."
Upon hearing this, all three were baffled. Of course, this was an exaggeration, not a genuine joke by Louis.
Why is that?
"We're attending the awards ceremony in your place, so what are you doing?"
"Is it related to what you've been busy with?" Penelope said, as a plump little white mouse quietly climbed onto the table from her pocket, as if wanting a taste of the compound potion.
Before Penelope could even restrain the chubby little mouse, a pink and adorable Doro suddenly leaped from the floor onto the table and straddled the mouse: "Look, a mount!"
Because Doro is much larger than the little fat mouse, it looks like a normal person holding a yoga ball.
It lacks any imposing knightly aura; instead, it's more eye-catching and cuter.
However, the little fat mouse didn't think that way. Under such pressure, it kept wriggling its body and waving its little paws.
Every hair and clump of fat on its body seemed to be saying: Help! The hamster is going to die!
"Every time I see this little guy, I feel like he's alive, not an alchemical creation. Look at him, little Doro is so energetic!" Penelope's eyes lit up, and she then hugged the two little knights, stroking one and touching the other.
Alchemy isn't necessarily incapable of creating life. After learning that truly top-tier alchemy uses concepts as materials, Ryan suddenly felt that alchemy had great potential.
Of course, even if it were possible, that would be a long time from now.
"Here's what happened," he began, explaining the whole story to the three of them.
